The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) empowers survivors by providing trauma-informed services with equity and compassion, while working collaboratively with the community to eliminate the root causes of interpersonal abuse.
As a mission-driven organization operating in a highly complex and emotionally demanding environment, WRC must continuously balance strategic ambition with operational reality—ensuring that planning efforts remain practical, responsive, and grounded in the day-to-day needs of staff and survivors.
Women’s Resource Center engaged Fio Partners during a period marked by simultaneous strategic demands and significant uncertainty. Alongside a formal strategic planning process, the organization was navigating multiple parallel initiatives, including planning for a new campus and preparing for a capital campaign, ongoing operational pressures that required leadership to focus on organizational sustainability, and limited internal capacity to translate strategy into concrete implementation steps.
Leadership sought a consulting partner who could deliver a rigorous process without losing sight of execution and serve as a trusted partner to the executive director throughout and beyond the plan’s development.
